What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site owners.
Cookies we use
We use a small number of cookies, grouped into three categories:
Essential
Authentication cookies — Managed by Supabase Auth to keep you signed in and maintain your session
Security cookies — Used for CSRF protection and secure form submission
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. Analytics is off by default and only runs if you give consent through the cookie banner or the toggle below. We use Google's Consent Mode v2 — when you decline, no analytics cookies are written and no measurement signals are sent.
GA4 is configured with IP anonymisation and without advertising features. The data we receive is aggregated; we do not use it to identify individual visitors or to retarget advertising. When enabled, the following cookies are set by Google:
_ga — Distinguishes unique visitors. Set by Google. Expires after 2 years.
_ga_<container-id> — Maintains a session identifier for GA4. Set by Google. Expires after 2 years.
_gid — Distinguishes unique visitors over a 24-hour window. Set by Google. Expires after 24 hours.
Google's use of these cookies is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out site-wide using the toggle in section 4 below.
Preferences
We use localStorage (not cookies) to remember your preferences such as sidebar state, pinned projects, and your analytics-consent choice. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
Third-party services that may set cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services that appear on our pages. We do not control these cookies:
Google Analytics 4 — Aggregated usage statistics — only set after explicit consent
Supabase — Authentication and session management
Stripe — Set only on the billing / checkout pages, for fraud prevention
